I met various homosexuals in the last twenty more years, including some who followed the feelings about their sexual orientations, some who were proud of their homosexual identities and some who were perplexed by the feelings about their same sex attraction.  Some of the latter hoped to give up their lifestyle of homosexuality.  However, most of the counseling services available nowadays adopt the gay-affirmative approach and encourage counselees to follow their feelings and affirm their identities as homosexuals.  This shuts the door for those who want to seek help to give up their lifestyle of homosexuality or those perplexed by their same sex attraction, making them feel even more despair.  From their genuine self-disclosures, I deeply felt their loneliness, grief and struggles.  At the same time, they were misunderstood and labeled by homosexuals as being meek to conform to traditional values of the society. They all want to be loved and accepted, but the church generally holds a negative impression on homosexuals, with little understanding or even rejects them.  The New Creation Association respects the decision of homosexuals as to whether they want to change or not. We support those who are being perplexed by “same-sex attractions” or those who have decided to give up their lifestyles of homosexuality with holistic care and also provide counseling based on Christian beliefs.
